The staff members of the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Malaysia had the opportunity of meeting the Sri Lanka Under-19 Girls Cricket Team, who are in Malaysia to participate in the Asia Cup Tournament scheduled to take place from 15 to 22 December 2024.

During the visit, Acting High Commissioner Mr. Mohamed Rizvi and staff members warmly welcomed the young cricketers and conveyed their admiration for the team’s dedication and hard work. They encouraged the players to approach the tournament with enthusiasm, energy, and a winning spirit. The staff emphasized the pride and honor the team brings to Sri Lanka through their participation and urged them to aim for victory in every match.

The High Commission also took the opportunity to call upon all Sri Lankans residing in Malaysia to rally behind the team and extend their fullest support throughout the tournament. The High Commission urges everyone to attend the matches and cheer for the Sri Lanka Under-19 Girls Cricket Team as they strive for excellence.
