The National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) is the training arm under the Public Services Department of Malaysia. The centre provides training for both Local and Foreign Officers in Land Administration, Financial Administration, Office Management and Local Government Administration sectors.
The INTAN conducted a program on “Economic, Planning and Management” under Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) from 6 to 17 August where Two Sri Lankan officers namely Ms. Chamila S. Karunatilake, Director (Planning Division) of Ministry of National Policies & Economic Affairs and Mr. U. Ranasinghe, Assistant Secretary of Chief Secretary Office (Department of Planning and Monitoring) participated the course. The group led by Ms. S. Karunatilake won the prize for the “Best Country Presentation” at the ceremony. The closing ceremony of the course was held at INTAN on 17th August 2018. The Officials of High Commission too were invited for the closing ceremony.
The High Commission presently facilitating MoU between Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) and INTAN and scheduled to be signed in November 2018.
