Sri Lankan cuisine has been influenced by many historical & cultural factors. Situated in the middle of trading routes for sea farers in the ancient times as well as contact with foreign traders who brought new food items, cultural influences from neighbouring countries have all helped shape Sri Lankan cuisine. Influences from India, Indonesia and Dutch cuisines are most evident in shaping the taste and ingredients of their dish.
One of the most common yet a specialty in Sri Lankan cuisine are the crabs. Deemed as one of the finest dishes among the Sri Lankan cuisine line-up, these Sri Lankan crabs will be the highlight of our month-long food promotion. We are flying in two distinguished chefs from Berjaya Hotel Colombo to perform and prepare authentic Sri Lankan cuisine throughout the promotion in serving the best.
