The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Kuala Lumpur hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration on 19 December 2024, marking the start of the festive season. The event, held at the High Commission premises, was attended by over 100 participants, including members of the Sri Lankan community, Malaysian Chambers, the Sri Lankan-Malaysian community, and business leaders. The premises were beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and festive ornaments, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Acting High Commissioner Mr. Rizvi highlighted the significance of Sri Lanka’s Christian community in the nation’s reconciliation and development efforts, underscoring the importance of peace and coexistence among Sri Lanka’s diverse religious and cultural groups.
The High Commission would like to express sincere gratitude to the Federation of Malaysia Sri Lanka Business Council (FOMSO), Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council (SLMBC), Malaysian Sinhalese Association (MSA), Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), Kuala Lumpur Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce (KLCCI), Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA), Sri Lankan Workers Welfare Association (SLWWA), Royal Malaysian Police, Sri Lankan Muslim Professional and Business Associations (SLAMP), KK Mart Channel, journalists, and all distinguished guests whose participation made the event truly memorable.
