The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Kuala Lumpur is pleased to announce that, under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism and the Registrar General’s Department of Sri Lanka, we have commenced issuing certified copies of Birth, Marriage, and Death certificates as of 7th February 2025.

Previously, Sri Lankans in Malaysia had to obtain these documents from Sri Lanka and get them attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka. However, under the new system, certified copies can now be issued within just 5 minutes at the High Commission Counter upon application submission.

Since the launch, we have successfully issued 10 certified Birth Certificates, ensuring a faster and more convenient service for Sri Lankan community.
