Eid-ul Fitr is a day of victory for Muslims all over the world after a month of fasting and in Malaysia, it is a truly joyous occasion filled with festive cheer and merriment. The most unique thing about Eid in Malaysia is perhaps the long-standing tradition of ‘open houses’ held at almost every residence, which showcases Malaysia’s harmonious multicultural existence the best.
Dato’ Seri Mohammed Azmin Ali, Chief Minister of Selangor on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr received guests which includes diplomats, politicians and senior officials at an open house reception at the Utama Pandan, Selangor on 2 July and exchanged Eid greetings. The event was graced by HRH the Sultan of Selangor. H.E. the High Commissioner AJM Muzammil and Madam Ferouza Muzammil too participated at the event. While speaking at this occasion, both the Sulatan and the Chief Minister of Selangor have conveyed their sincere and warm greetings to the leaders and the people of Sri Lanka.
